‘Pvt schools must help transform education sector’

JAMMU: Education Minister Naeem Akhter today said private schools play a vital role in imparting quality education and they should supplement the government’s efforts to consolidate the transformation taking place in this sector.



Jammu, January 14

Education Minister Naeem Akhter today said private schools play a vital role in imparting quality education and they should supplement the government’s efforts to consolidate the transformation taking place in this sector.

He said this at a day-long seminar, ‘Enriching the Academic Hemisphere of J-K — Contributive Essence of the Private Schools’ organised at the University of Jammu.

He said that henceforth the private schools which fulfill the requirements will be granted registration for five years. — PTI
