550 examined at health camp in Khanna

LUDHIANA: A health check-up camp was organised by the Punjab Health and Family Welfare Department under the guidance of Ludhiana Civil Surgeon Rajiv Bhalla at Urban Primary Health Centre, Khanna yesterday.

Ludhiana, February 19

A health check-up camp was organised by the Punjab Health and Family Welfare Department under the guidance of Ludhiana Civil Surgeon Rajiv Bhalla at Urban Primary Health Centre, Khanna yesterday.

Rajinder Gulati, Senior Medical Officer, Khanna Civil Hospital, said around 550 patients were examined by different specialists and given free medicines. Around 65 blood sugar tests, 72 haemoglobin tests and 26 ECGs were done on the occasion.

A blood-donation camp was also organised in which 30 units of blood was collected. The camp was organised in association with the Rotary Club, Khanna.

An exhibition regarding various diseases, their cure and precautions was also organised.
