The Aam Aadmi Party convener and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal believes that the 2017 Assembly polls in Punjab would be two-party contest where his outfit would emerge victorious.

Talking briefly to the media after attending a function of the Bar Council of Punjab and Haryana here today, Kejriwal said the Congress was on the verge of decimation.

“The Akalis will get less than 10 seats. All the remaining would be pocketed by the AAP,” he said.

Earlier, addressing the lawyers he predicted a landslide victory and a second revolution where the state would be free from drugs, corrupt leaders and farmers will not need to commit suicide.

He chuckled that in Delhi his government doesn’t have the police and the anti-corruption wing under the government but still have made a dent into corruption but in Punjab they would be having control over everything, “We would be putting every corrupt person in jail and if tomorrow there is a case against my family, I will not budge in taking action against them,” he said.

Earlier in his address, Kejriwal equated the emergence of the AAP as a signal of divine intervention and a miracle to finish corruption from the region.

Rajat Gautam, chairman of the Bar Council said they chose Kejriwal as the chief guest over others as he was perfect role model for the budding lawyers.

“He has a clean image, has shown promise and risen by hard work and above all he and his party members are still humble,” he added.
