Chandigarh, February 19

Former Union Minister Pawan Kumar Bansal,  said the nation was fed up with wrong polices of the  BJP-led Central Government. Bansal was addressing Jan-Vedna  Panchayats  held at Mauli Jagran, Indira Colony and Mani Majra today.

Under its nationwide campaign to expose the BJP government, the Chandigarh Congress has started Jan-Vedna  Panchayats, which will be organised  in every  ward of the city. Bansal said the Modi government had destroyed country’s cash economy by hitting out at poor, farmers, labourers, artisans, small shopkeepers and businesses.

Manoj Chauhan, observer of the party, and Pardeep Chhabra, president of the city Congress, were among other party leaders  participated in the events.

Chauhan said poor, farmers, labourers, shopkeepers, small businesses, middle class and the entire unorganised sector in the country had, in particular, been severely affected by demonetisation.

Chhabra said residents of the city were facing their “worst” days after the BJP government came to power. Even, slum dwellers were not getting flats under rehabilitation  schemes  which were launched  by the Congress government in the past. — TNS
