City BJP legislator Madan Kaushik today presided over a meeting of district organisational office-bearers regarding a march to be carried out tomorrow as part of statewide party programmes.

BJP activists will expose the ill governance and corrupt working of the Congress-led state government during the foot march, Kaushik stated.

The march will commence from Ramleela gorund and will pass via Lal Tarau bridge, Bhagwan Valmiki square, Shiv Moorti square, Devpura-Maharaja Agrasen square and conclude at Rishikul-Pt Madan Mohan Malviya square.

“We will seek explanation from the Congress Government on their working in the past four years. Chief Minister Harish Rawat is running the state government like a family affair, with open indulgence of his family members and close aide in the affairs of the state. Development works have taken a back seat, particularly in the non-Congress Assembly segments, as the government is having a biased attitude. The Congress mis-rule will be exposed during this foot march,” Kaushik, a former state Cabinet minister, said.

At Rishikul, Madan Kaushik, Mayor Manoj Garg and other leaders will address the gathering.

Assembly segment coordinator Vikas Tiwari said all ward councillors had been given responsibilities to ensure maximum participation of party workers.

“We will also disseminate information about development works and social welfare schemes being run by the BJP-led Union Government. Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s corruption-free development-oriented visionary government in the past two and half years has put India on path of global power,” said Vikas Tiwari, who is also the district unit vice-president.

Divisional women wing president Kamni Sadana, office-bearers Bindiya Goswami, Richa Gaud, Parul Chauhan, Pusphanajali, Rekha Dhasmana, Rakesh Nautiyal, Vijay Gwadi, Aditya Bansal and Priyavrat Gupta were present at the occasion.
