Chandigarh, March 26
The Punjab Sangeet Natak Akademi and Suchetak Rang Manch organised a theatrical reading of Dr Atamjit’s Punjabi play, “Mud Aa Lamanh Toan”, as a part of the World Theatre Day celebrations at the Randhawa auditorium.
Riding on the success of it in Canada, Delhi, Amritsar and Kohlapur, Dr Atamjit, who took three years to sculpt this drama spectacle, gave the magnificence of staging a full-fledged play in his sleek verbal presentation.
Weaved around his belief that any war, in any case, is nothing but a shared folly of the mankind, Atamjit had based the play on the forgotten history of the Indian participation in the World War I. The play brought alive the futility of war.
His presentation was marked with immaculate modulation of voice, facial gestures. — OC
