LUDHIANA: The students of Bhartiya Vidya Mandir (BVM) Senior Secondary School, Udham Singh Nagar, participated in the Ludhiana District Handball Championship and played a major role in their respective teams’ victories.

The students of Bhartiya Vidya Mandir (BVM) Senior Secondary School, Udham Singh Nagar, participated in the Ludhiana District Handball Championship and played a major role in their respective teams’ victories. The championship was organised by the District Education Department on the Punjab Agricultural University campus ground, recently. In the boy’s U-19 category, three students of the school, Prithav Rajpal, Pardeep Pradhan and Hitesh, played in this event and helped their side to emerge champions. For their fine performance, Prithav Rajpal and Pardeep Pradhan have been chosen for the Ludhiana district handball team for the Punjab State Championship.

Similarly, in the U-17 category, Amrit, Gurvinder Khera, Mohit and Akshay participated in the district competition. The team secured second position and two students, Gurvinder Khera and Amrit, have been selected to take part in the Punjab State Handball Championship. Five students from the school, Sujal, Vansh, Ritesh Rawat, Karandeep and Bhavya Gupta, were the members of U-14 squad which finished at second place. Bhavya Gupta has been selected for the championship.
