Panchkula, January 18
A tragedy was averted today after a school bus was hit by a car near a road separating Sectors 4 and 11 here. The bus belongs to a private school in the city and was carrying three children, all in the age group of nine-10 years, who escaped unhurt. A Swift car, bearing a Chandigarh registration number, is reported to have hit the bus after which it turned and fell sideways.
The driver of the car, Rajinder, apologised for his mistake. No case was registered by the police. The driver of the bus, Pradeep, suffered minor injuries in the abdomen.
