Luxury bus service between Dalhousie and Delhi will be started before December 31. The bus will depart from Dalhousie at 5.15 pm and reach Delhi at 6.00 am. The service would be a boon for the tourists.

This was stated by Transport Minister GS Bali while addressing a press conference here today.

Bali said the tender process for purchasing 25 electric buses was in the pipeline. The HRTC would ply the buses on the identified routes connecting hill stations.

The minister said under the connectivity plan of the HRTC, new bus services from Dharamsala and Dalhousie to Chandigarh would also be started.

Bali who also holds the Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department said the government had taken several decisions for the benefit of public. Every household would get three pulses under the public distribution system (PDS), he said. The consumers would now get mustard oil along with their pending quota.
