DC visits children’s shelter home
Una, May 27
Deputy Commissioner (DC) Yunus Khan today visited Prem Ashram, a home to special children, in Una city and interacted with children, caretakers and special educators. The institute, being run by the Sisters of Charity of Jesus and Mary, provides residential and day boarding rehabilitation programmes to about 150 special children.
The DC met the children and enquired about the facilities at the institute. He offered all possible assistance to the institute on behalf of the district administration. He said the ever-smiling faces and interactive nature of these children were a source of inspiration. — OC
