DEHRADUN:Dr Rajendra Dobhal, Director General, Uttarakhand State Council for Science and Technology, today stressed on retaining the originality of the city while pursuing the Smart City goal.

Dehradun, August 20

Dr Rajendra Dobhal, Director General, Uttarakhand State Council for Science and Technology, today stressed on retaining the originality of the city while pursuing the Smart City goal.

He was addressing a workshop entitled—Role of Communication in Citizen Engagement for Dehradun Smart City—organised by the Dehradun chapter of Public Relations Society of India today. 

He said it was important that the originality of Dehradun was not dismantled in the backdrop the city now finding place in the list of proposed smart cities of the country. He reminded that one needs to learn from the west, where cities like Paris and London retained their originality while transforming into modern day cities.
