Dr Jharta sworn in as HPSSC Chairman

SHIMLA:Former Himachal Pradesh University (HPU) Registrar Dr Mohan Lal Jharta was today sworn in as the new Chairman of the Himachal Pradesh Staff Selection Commission (HPSSC), Hamirpur.

Former Himachal Pradesh University (HPU) Registrar Dr Mohan Lal Jharta was today sworn in as the new Chairman of the Himachal Pradesh Staff Selection Commission (HPSSC), Hamirpur. Chief Secretary VC Pharka administered him the oath of office here today. 

Jharta, who hails from Chopal subdivision in Shimla district, was earlier appointed as the HPU Registrar for a period of about two years. Prior to this appointment, Dr Jharta was rendering his services as Professor and Chairman/Head of Department, Department of Sociology and Social Works, HPU.
