Politician Baba Siddique says superstar Salman Khan and his sister Alvira have suggested that women should be invited to the Iftaar celebrations. Traditionally, Iftaar is an occasion where only men come together to celebrate but Salman and Alvira suggested having the guests attend with the women in their families.

“It was Salman Khan and Alvira who suggested that we invite women for the Iftaar celebration. This Iftaar dinner is the only one to have women break their fast along with the men,” Baba said in a statement. This year’s Iftaar celebrations, which will be held here on Sunday, will be attended by Salman, Iulia Vantur, Amy Jackson and Goldie Behl, among others. — IANS
