Kaithal, January 3

BJP MP from Kurukshetra Raj Kumar Saini today said granting reservation to the Jat community would be illegal as it was against the Supreme Court verdict that set aside the reservation to Jats.

In a press conference here today, Saini said it had been learnt that members of the community had held a meeting here and threatened to launch an agitation if they were not granted reservation by January 28. The MP said the government should not bow to the pressure exerted by the community as it would set a wrong precedent.
