Abohar MLA Sunil Jakhar today led a massive protest to condemn police “highhandedness” towards peaceful protesters who were demanding action yesterday against the persons responsible for abetting the suicide of a Dalit farmer of Pattibillah village.

Jakhar’s secretary Sanjeev Trika and at least two others — who were leading the protest – were allegedly thrashed and dragged by the police yesterday.
