The All-India Jat Aarakshan Sangharsh Samiti (AIJASS) has called of the agitation, but the Haryana Police are not being lax regarding security of important installations, national highways, state highways and the Munak canal.

Issuing fresh instructions to the range and district police chiefs in the state after AIJASS announced to withdraw the stir, the Additional Director General of Police (ADGP), Law and Order, Mohammad Akil, said though the samiti had announced to lift dharnas, some mischievous elements may try to disrupt the peace process by indulging in criminal activities.

The letter from the ADGP directed to carry out patrolling throughout the day and night in the districts, adding that the SHOs shall be personally held liable for any mischief in their areas. “The patrolling be planned in such a way that the entire force does not get tired in one shift. Sufficient force shall remain available for performing the duty during the day as well as night,” it stated.

The ADGP stated in the letter that specific emphasis shall be given on the security of national highways, state highways, Munak canal and other important public/private installations.

Hisar range IGP OP Singh, in an interesting Facebook post, said the Jat agitation issue had got over by chanting ‘Ram Ram’ (praying to god). “I am thankful to the youth who understood the situation and refused to be used. The youth made their intentions clear in the Youth Against Violence programme that they would not fell prey to anybody and would take their decisions themselves,” he wrote.
