Jhajjar, October 29

A team of the Vigilance Bureau yesterday nabbed the loan manager of Oriental Bank of Commerce (OBC) while accepting illegal gratification of Rs 10,000 from an ex-serviceman in lieu of transferring a loan into his bank account. The accused, Santosh Shah, has been booked under the Prevention of Corruption Act.

Ravinder of Khativaas village said he had applied for a loan of Rs 1.30 lakh. Though the bank approved it after verification of the documents, the loan manager demanded Rs 10,000 from him for transferring the amount to his bank account.
