Director General of Police (DGP) KP Singh today inspected the places from where Nabha jailbreak accused passed and Sollu Majra and Faral villages from where two cars were found abandoned in the district.
The DGP also sought report about the information received about the fugitives, the spots where nakas were set up and the routes taken by them to enter and escape from the district.
The DGP inspected the naka set up on the Kaithal-Ambala road near Keorak where the accused passed in a Fortuner SUV. He then reached Sollu Majra from where an abandoned Verna car was found on Sunday. He also visited Faral village from where the second car was recovered on Monday. The DGP then went to Dhand and asked the police station in charge to examine footage of CCTV cameras so that more information about the routes taken by fugitives could be gathered and examined for further investigation.
The DGP said that after receiving information about Nabha jailbreak in Patiala district, an alert was sounded in the state and police nakas were activated. He said that due to alertness of the Haryana Police, the criminals were forced to leave their vehicles behind and two of them were later arrested from different places. The remaining accused would be nabbed soon, he said.
