Not eyeing CM post: Mann

Sangrur MP and AAP star campaigner Bhagwant today said that he would file nomination from Jalalabad on January 13.

Talking to the media on the sidelines of a rally by AAP candidate Lakhvir Singh Rai here, Mann said he was not in the race for the CM’s post, adding that it was up to the people and the party high command to decide.

On the allegations of inciting AAP workers for throwing stone at the cavalcade of Deputy CM Sukhbir Singh Badal in Jalalabad, he said he would not be surprised if Sukhbir held him solely responsible for the attack. He said the Badal family was giving conflicting statements over the issue. “While Sukhbir blamed me, his wife Harsimrat Kaur has stated that no stone throwing incident took place,” Mann claimed. — TNS
