Ludhiana, November 24

Cracking a whip on traffic violators in the old city area, the city traffic police continued its challan drive during the second day.

Several haphazardly parked vehicles were locked in by traffic police and many commuters were challaned for traffic violations.

The crack down on the traffic police came after complaints of major traffic chaos due to reckless parking of vehicles around Municipal Corporation's Zone-A office and Mata Rani Chowk were received.

ACP (Traffic) Richa Agnihotri said haphazard parking of vehicles would not be tolerated and strict action would be taken against those who disturb the traffic flow.
