Prez’s visit: Governor reviews arrangements

DEHRADUN: Governor Dr KK Paul today undertook an important meeting with the Chief Secretary, the DGP and other senior officials at Raj Bhawan to review necessary preparations regarding President Pranab Mukherjee’s upcoming visit as a chief guest at the convocation of Indira Gandhi National Forest Academy, Dehradun, on May 5 and Shri Badrinath visit on May 6.

Governor Dr KK Paul today undertook an important meeting with the Chief Secretary, the DGP and other senior officials at Raj Bhawan to review necessary preparations regarding President Pranab Mukherjee’s upcoming visit as a chief guest at the convocation of Indira Gandhi National Forest Academy, Dehradun, on May 5 and Shri Badrinath visit on May 6.

The Governor directed them to ensure all the arrangements, including traffic, security and housing, from the arrival of the President at Jollygrant airport to Indira Gandhi National Forest Academy and then to Raj Bhawan where he would stay on May 5. He is scheduled to visit the Badrinath shrine on May 6.

Chief Secretary S Ramaswami, DGP MA Ganpati, Principal Secretary (Energy) Umakant Panwar, Secretary Governor Amit Negi, the PWD Secretary, the ADGP (Law and Order), the DM, the SSP, MNA, the Municipal Corporation, officials of UPCL and the Horticulture Department were present there.

Meanwhile, CM Trivendra Singh Rawat also paid a courtesy call on the Governor at Raj Bhawan today.
