R Day parade arrangements reviewed

Ahead of the Republic Day parade here, Dehradun District Magistrate SA Murugeshan and Senior Superintendent of Police Nivedita Kukreti today inspected the arrangements at the parade ground.

Reviewing the security arrangements planned on Republic Day, Murugeshan also took stock of progress in the construction of saluting dais, security checks at exit and entry points and other protocol arrangements for VVIPs. He also visited the seating arrangements area and also looked at the decorations being done for the day.

Murugeshan disclosed that 11 tableau would be part of the parade this year. These included tableaux from health, education, tourism, rural development and other departments. 

Nivedita Kukreti directed the Superintendent of Police, traffic, to make adequate arrangements to ensure smooth flow of traffic on the Republic day.
