A three-day Kasauli Rhythm and Blues festival organised by the Genesis Foundation started near Kasauli yesterday. The festival began with a rocking performance by the popular band, “Late Too Soon”. The band set the mood for the day with their popular compositions “Play That Funky Music” and “Waiting on the World to Change”. They were followed by Indo-jazz experts Rajeev Raja Combine, who gave the audience the perfect combination of flute with the magic of the hills.

Other performers of the day included Nasya Band, Eka Band, Lesle Lewis, Rajeev Raja Combine and Late to Soon Band. Their lively performance won a big round of applause from the audience.

“The proceeds accruing from this festival will be used for the surgery of underprivileged children suffering from congenital heart diseases,” said Prema Sagar, founding trustee of the Genesis Foundation.

This is the sixth edition of such festival held by the foundation at Kasauli. A unique ensemble of meditation with music was also showcased which gave the much-needed solace to the audience from the hustle and bustle of city life.
