Sajwan lays stone of Uttarkashi bridge

MUSSOORIE: Vijay Pal Sajwan, Parliamentary Secretary and MLA from Gangotri, laid the foundation stone of the 80-metre bridge over the Indira river at Sada village in Uttarkashi district.

Vijay Pal Sajwan, Parliamentary Secretary and MLA from Gangotri, laid the foundation stone of the 80-metre bridge over the Indira river at Sada village in Uttarkashi district. The estimated cost of the hanging bridge is Rs 5.18 crore.

Sajwan, while addressing the gathering, also announced Rs 4 lakh for the beautification work of the Renuka temple. He said 80% of the works, which he had announced for the constituency, was complete and the remaining work would be accomplished soon.

“Project worth Rs 12 crore have been submitted to NABARD for flood control works on the banks of Indira river,” said the Gangotri MLA.

He directed officials of the Jal Santhan to ensure that there was no shortage of water in any village in his constituency. He directed the Block Development Officer, Bhatwadi, to repair the bridle path from Sada to Mustikaud though MNREGA funds.
