The Sports Bill will deprive the talent from flourishing. This was stated by BJP president Satpal Singh Satti while addressing a gathering at Tauni Devi today.

He said the Bill was neither acceptable to the BJP nor to any sports organisation. He alleged that Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh was trying hard to grab the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association but the BJP would not let him do so easily. He said Virbhadra was more concerned in framing false cases against its political rivals instead of development. He said the people were feeling cheated and the government had lost its popularity. He said the CM should come clear out of the allegations levelled against him by Arun Thakur.

Earlier, former Chief Minister Prem Kuamar Dhumal said the CM had control over the bureaucracy and retired officers were advising him on the governance. He said many in the ministry were not happy with the working of the CM office. He said the development had come to halt and people were being misled on the development.

He said the state was being controlled by various mafias. He said the CM had incurred heavy loss to the state exchequer by not auctioning liquor vends which could have fetched additional crores of rupees to the state. He said that even toll barriers were given at cheaper rates.

District BJP president Vijay Agnihotri, MLAs Virender Kanwar, Narender Thakur and former Minister for Education ID Dhiman were others present.
