Teachers burn govt’s effigy

SANGRUR: Members of the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) and Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan (RMSA) Teachers Union held a protest against non-regularisation of their services here today.

Members of the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) and Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan (RMSA) Teachers Union held a protest against non-regularisation of their services here today. They burnt an effigy of the state government and raised slogans against it. They said there were over 10,000 master-cadre teachers working under SSA and RMSA, who were not being regularised. The union has decided to organise a state-level rally on September 10 at Jalandhar. —TNS
