CHANDIGARH:The body of a 21-year-old youth was found under mysterious circumstances in a car at Sector 23 this evening.

Chandigarh, November 15

The body of a 21-year-old youth was found under mysterious circumstances in a car at Sector 23 this evening. The Swift car of the victim, Nikhil Bajaj, a resident of Sector 23, was found parked on the road. He was noticed lying inside the car by Satyam, who runs a dhaba. Satyam informed the police. 

The police rushed the victim to Government Multi-Specialty Hospital (GMSH), Sector 16, where doctors declared him brought dead. The victim had left home around 11 am. Police officials said there were no injury marks on the body. 

The car has been impounded by the police and an investigation has been initiated at the Sector 17 police station. The autopsy will be conducted tomorrow. Sources said the victim was into the cloth business. 

Death due to overdose? 

The police are suspecting that the victim died due to a drug overdose. However, they said the cause of the death would be known only after the postmortem.

Medicines, injections recovered Police sources said some medicines and injections were recovered from the victim’s car, which had been seized.
