Rewari, July 26
Two cops, including in charge of the Bhadavaas police post, were sent to the Police Lines for thrashing a kite-seller at Balluvada locality here last night.
The action was taken on a complaint by brother of the kite-seller against ASI Manoj Kumar and Head Constable Anil Kumar.
“Around 9 pm, some cops arrived at the shop and thrashed my brother Ghanshyam. The incident was recorded in CCTV cameras installed at the shop,” said Gupta in his complaint. He provided the camera footage to DSP Satpal Yadav.
Yadav said the cops have been punished on the basis of CCTV footage.—TNS
