Ramesh Chandra Mishra (IPS), Additional Director General of Police, state Vigilance Bureau, Gurgaon, has been awarded President’s Police Medal for distinguished service.

Eight other policemen of the state have been awarded Police Medal for meritorious service on Republic Day. These are Virender Singh (HPS), DSP, Sirsa; Kamal Singh, Inspector, HAP; Virender Singh, Inspector, Faridabad; Sushil Kumar, Sub-Inspector; Gurmeet Singh, E/ASI, Panchkula; Kulbir Singh, E/ASI, Ambala; Manoj Kumar, ASI, Panchkula; and Ram Kumar, ASI, Faridabad.

Stating this here today, a spokesman for the Haryana police said Ramesh Chandra Mishra had earlier been awarded police medal for meritorious service in 2007 on Republic Day, a medal from the President of India on the golden jubilee anniversary of Independence Day, World Hindi Millennium Award and Human Rights Millennium Award by International Association of Educators for World Peace.

He said YP Singal, Director General of Police, had congratulated all these police personnel, saying that he hoped they would continue to work with the same zeal and dedication. He said Singal added that these awards would also inspire other police personnel.
