Govt must step in to save Aravalli hills, says Kiran

HISAR: Congress leader and MLA from Tosham Kiran Choudhary has urged the state government to take measures to preserve the eco-system of the Aravalli ranges.

Hisar, November 13

Congress leader and MLA from Tosham Kiran Choudhary has urged the state government to take measures to preserve the eco-system of the Aravalli ranges.

Talking to mediapersons in Bhiwani today, she alleged that illegal mining and felling of trees in the Aravalli ranges has been causing harm to the environment. She said the government had failed to provide alternative to farmers for crop residue management. “Stubble burning can be resolved if the government ensures small-scale units for utilisation of stubble,” she added. — TNS
