Kin of 4 drowned youths to get relief of Rs 2 lakh each

SONEPAT: Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has announced grant of Rs 2 lakh each to the family members of four youths, Lalit, Ankit and Aditya of Sersa village and Nitin of Janti Kalan village, who drowned in the Yamuna on August 5.

Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has announced grant of Rs 2 lakh each to the family members of four youths, Lalit, Ankit and Aditya of Sersa village and Nitin of Janti Kalan village, who drowned in the Yamuna on August 5.

Krishna Gahlawat, Chairperson, National Council of State Agriculture Marketing Board, said that she met the CM during his night stay at Rai in the district and pleaded with him to help the bereaved families.

Expressing his condolences over the untimely deaths of these school-going minors, the CM announced to give the grant of Rs 2 lakh each.

While going to Rohtak on Tuesday, the CM paid an unscheduled visit at the residence of party activist Joginder Sharma at Baiyanpur village and met other villagers also.

During interaction with the villagers, the CM was informed that their village was excluded from the Sonepat Municipal Corporation recently. The CM assured them that if they give in writing, the state government would reconsider inclusion of the village in the corporation.
