Youth booked for raping 16-yr-old

Yamunanagar, March 20

A youth was booked under Section 376-C of the IPC and Section 4 of the POCSO Act on Tuesday for allegedly raping a 16-year-old girl from a village in the Saraswati Nagar block of the district.

On the complaint of the victim’s mother, a case was registered against Sonu, alias Kala, at the Chhappar police station.

The complainant said her daughter had gone out for some work on March 18. She alleged that the accused met her on the way and took her to a deserted place outside the village on some pretext and raped her. She said when her daughter returned home, she narrated the incident to her.
