Pond becomeing problem in Narwana

Narwana: In Narwana, just opposite the cremation ground and two prominent hospitals, a pond in more than 2 acres is always filled with sewage water. It emits foul smell and is a breeding ground for mosquitoes. The nearby ‘gaushala’ dumps the entire cow dung on the banks of the pond which further aggravates the problem. The authorities are in no mood to clean the area. — Ramesh Gupta

Need more Street lights  in Karnal

Karnal: Due to lack of street lights in Kanhaiya City, Sector 2, the residents are forced to move in the dark during the evening. The resident welfare association has approached the Chief Minister’s office in this regard, but no action has been taken so far. Residents said while they were paying property tax and electricity bills, the Municipal Corporation also had the responsibility to install street lights. — Shakti Singh

Is it ‘hunda office’, really?

Panchkula: The police post at light points near the BSNL office in Sector 5, Panchkula, displays a signage: ‘HUNDA Office’. Is the N an additional letter or the H needs to be replaced with some other letter? Many officials must be passing through the chowk but no one has bothered to rectify the error. — AK Jain

Roads in poor condition

Gurugram: It is shocking to see that roads of Gurugram city are in a poor condition. There is a huge risk while commuting on the roads. I suspect that the contractors who have executed the projects have not used the required material which has created potholes on the roads. Why are they not adhering to rules while constructing the roads? The authorities must look into the issue. — Subash C Taneja

Road caving in despite repairs

Panchkula: The Major Shaheed Sandeep Sagar Chowk (Sector 7-8-17-18 roundabout) in Panchkula reveals the pathetic working of the  administration. What else could explain the caving in of a particular segment of the road? Sadly, despite the portion having been repaired umpteen times, there seems to be no light at the end of the tunnel. So, how about fixing some personal accountability of erring officials for their abject failure? — Vinayak G
