Chandigarh, February 4

The BJP seems to have gone into the election mode in Haryana. In the run-up to the Lok Sabha elections, top BJP leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi and party chief Amit Shah, will woo voters in the state this month.

While Modi will address women representatives of panchayati raj institutions in Kurukshetra on February 12, Shah will address a party rally in Hisar on February 25.

Besides, the BJP has lined up a series of programmes with a view to gearing up the party cadres for the forthcoming parliamentary elections.

In fact, a strategy to mobilise the party cadre for different programmes was deliberated upon at the BJP core committee meeting held under the chairmanship of Lok Sabha in charge for Haryana Kalraj Mishra in New Delhi on Sunday. Sources said the party had chalked out a strategy to mobilise party workers at the grassroots level. With that end in mind, it had decided to organise area-wise meetings for Gurugram cluster (February 10), Kurukshetra cluster (February 16) and Hisar cluster (February 25).

Besides, the BJP would organise a week-long (February 13-20) “Mera parivar, Bhajpa parivar” campaign. On February 26, senior party leaders would hold “Kamal jyoti” programme at 100 places across the state. Modi would have a “direct dialogue” with BJP workers on February 28. Motor cycle rallies on March 2 across the state would provide a grand finale to the current BJP campaign.

In poll mode

  • Modi to address women panchayati raj representatives at Kurukshetra on February 12
  • Amit Shah to address party workers at Hisar on February 25.
  • Week-long (February 13-20) “Mera parivar, Bhajpa parivar” campaign.
  • Kamal jyoti” programmes at 100 places across the state on February 28.
