Two persons were killed and another was injured after a shuttering of a three-storey showroom under construction came crashing down here on Friday.

Deputy Commissioner Sumedha Kataria ordered an inquiry into the matter and demanded a report within three days. Besides, she ordered registration of an FIR.

The deceased were identified as mason Govind and labourer Manu, both from Uttar Pradesh. They were working with contractor Ashu of Muzaffarnagar in UP.

Raju, an eyewitness, said: “The shuttering supported by wooden planks was damaged at one place. Manu and Govind were repairing it when the entire framework collapsed on them. They died on the spot.”
