A body of 25-year-old woman was on Friday found from a bag dumped in a dustbin near Vardhman Chowk on Sai Road at Baddi. The woman was identified as Nirmala and was working in Vardhman Textiles.

Her husband is missing and the police are suspecting that “he killed her”.

The body was first spotted by scrap collectors today morning around 8 am, who opened the bag in a belief of finding something valuable but were aghast to see a woman’s painted toe nail and one of her hand protruding out.

They informed the police who reached the spot to examine the crime scene.

Policemen opened the bag and recovered the body in a pink salwar suit.

SP Baddi Rahul Nath who examined the spot said the woman appeared to have died either due to strangulation or hanging as there were visible marks around the neck.

A thick cloth was also found tied around her neck, the SP said.
