Shimla, January 13
The Himachal Pradesh Appropriation Acts (Repeal) Bill 2019 and Himachal Pradesh Bovine Breeding Bill, 2019 were tabled in the Vidhan Sabha today.
Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur, who also holds the finance portfolio, tabled the Himachal Pradesh Appropriation Acts (Repeal) Bill 2019. The Bill has been laid to remove such redundant laws from the statute book to bring in clarity.
“The Appropriation Acts enacted during the last 67 years in Himachal have lost their meaning and become irrelevant and served their purpose. Since they have outlived their utility it has been decided to bring the Himachal Pradesh Appropriation Acts (Repeal) Bill 2019 to repeal Appropriation Acts as specified in the schedule of this Act,” read the objectives of the Bill.
The bovine Bill has been laid with the objective of making improvement in the bovines by regulating bovine breeding activities, including use of breeding bulls for production of semen, processing, storage, sale and distribution of bovine and artificial insemination. — TNS
