Street vendors held a protest against the Municipal Council (MC), Mandi, regarding their demands in the town on Thursday. They raised slogans against the MC authority for ignoring their long-pending demands. Protest was held under the banner of CITU.
They were demanding to form a town vending committee to protect the rights of street vendors. They said the MC was issuing eviction notice to a few vendors in the town, while according to Himachal Pradesh High Court directions it was banned these days.
They were demanding that identity cards be provided to all street vendors of town.
