Minister seeks suggestions for better working

SOLAN: Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment Dr Rajiv Saizal today sought suggestions from officials of various departments to ensure that government schemes reached the massAt his first meeting with officials, he advised them to be sensitive in their approach, adding that employees were the backbone of the government and played a pivotal role in the successful implementation of various government schemes.

Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment Dr Rajiv Saizal today sought suggestions from officials of various departments to ensure that government schemes reached the massAt his first meeting with officials, he advised them to be sensitive in their approach, adding that employees were the backbone of the government and played a pivotal role in the successful implementation of various government schemes.

He said the state government under the leadership of Jai Ram Thakur would work for the welfare of the people and would ensure development of all sections of society.

Posts of doctor would be filled on a priority basis in the district. The minister directed officials of the National Highways Authority of India to ensure repair of water supply lines damaged due to the four-laning of National Highway-22. As many as 150 connections were damaged.

Saizal directed officials of HP State Electricity Board Limited to take effective steps to check the low-volatge problem. He also asked officials of the Ayurveda Department to organise health camps. He said he would undertake regular monitoring of various schemes being executed in the district and such meetings would be held on a regular basis. Deputy Commissioner Rakesh Kanwar, SDMs, general manager, District Industries Centre and senior officials of various departments were present on the occasion.
