Shimla, June 16
A nine-month-old baby girl was killed in an accident in Kuffar area in the suburbs of Shimla city today afternoon.
Mother (Anita) of the deceased girl identified as Radha alleged that a pick up (HP 51 B 0827) coming from Bharari side hit her daughter who was sleeping on the road side.
The baby sustained serious injuries and was declared brought dead by the doctors at IGMC.
The police has registered a case under sections 279 and 304 A of IPC against the driver Prem Lal who himself carried the baby to hospital along with her mother.
Investigation are underway, police sources said.
