Former Transport and Technical Education Minister GS Bali today lambasted the BJP state chief Satpal Satti for his utterances that the way leaders of other parties were joining the BJP the days were not far away when former AICC presidents Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi would also join the BJP and described the statement as ‘rubbish, childish and egoistic’. He suggested Satti to maintain the decorum of the office he is holding.

Bali was addressing a press conference at his residence here today. He said that Congress party has deep roots in the country. The party made enormous contribution during the freedom struggle and in the development of the country after the independence. He said that Congress is not a water bubble that will get washed away by BJP’s single victory.

He said that Satti must know that the Congress was ruling in six states that comprises one third of the country and both Sonia and Rahul Gandhi are respected and esteemed leaders within Congress party and outside the party too.

He reiterated his demand of White Paper on the MoUs signed by the state government with investors. “I do not doubt the intention of the government regarding attracting investors but MoU is not everything but needs experience in the field and implementation at the ground level” he said.

Bali alleged that state was weak in logistic as cost of cement and power was increasing. No new industries were coming up and old industries were getting closed. He said that industrial houses were finding it difficult to put their foot in the state due to weak logistic infrastructure.

Bali said that Jai Ram Government was overlooking the interests of the people and even if the opposition was weak in the state it is within its rights to raise genuine issues in public interest. “We are forewarning the government and it must take the suggestions of the Opposition seriously”, he said.

He asked the government to come forward with the details that how may unemployed youths will be given jobs under new investment policy. Bali asked government to take up matter with the Railways to improve the condition of railways in the state.
