Mandi, April 24

Despite the ECI reprimanding Satpal Singh Satti with a 48-hour ban on campaigning and warning him against using derogatory language, the BJP state president again exhibited his aggressive side while referring to his political opponents.

Addressing party workers on the occasion of filing of nomination by Mandi sitting MP Ram Swaroop, the BJP chief was at very belligerent. “If somebody points a finger at our leaders, we will cut off their arms. We are not petty workers but leaders, who are here not to make our careers, but give a befitting reply if our leaders are targeted,” he said to a huge crowd of cheering party workers.

He even said had it not been for the code of conduct, he would have sorted out matter here only. “Very often, people take serious objection to my remarks, but this is the way in Punjab and retaliate to derogatory remarks against our leaders who are called chor,” he said.

Satti has already faced a 48-hour ban on campaigning by the EC for using abusive language against Rahul Gandhi. As such, he did not campaign on April 20 and 21. A video of Satti allegedly using abusive language against Rahul Gandhi in Ramshehar in Nalagarh had gone viral.
