The chain hunger strike by Bhattiyat Jan Ekta Jan Adhikar Manch at Chowari entered the 29th day on Saturday. Members of the manch Sunki Devi (55) and Simblo Devi (60) joined the strike.
Manch spokesperson Harish Kumar said their major demands included filling of vacant posts of gynaecologist, paediatrician, radiologist, paramedical staff, good roads, better transportation services and other basic facilities in Bhattiyat. — OC
