Thakur: Cong did injustice to Chaturvedi

Injustice done to Congress national spokesperson Priyanka Chaturvedi has exposed the “justice for all” slogan of party president Rahul Gandhi. This was stated by said Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur at a rally in Mashobra, Kasumpati segment, today.

“It is surprising that a person who cannot give justice to a senior woman leader of his own party is talking about giving justice to all. False allegation of “Hindu terrorism” on Sadhvi Pragya is another disgusting example of the party’s’ “justice to all” slogan,” Thakur said.

Sadhvi was falsely implicated and tortured at a time when Sonia Gandhi was the Congress president.

Thakur said the Congress had a bad record as far as social justice was concerned. Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, labourers, poor, farmers and small traders were always mistreated under the party rule. The government had failed to ensure development and prosperity, while Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who came to power in 2014, launched various schemes for the welfare of the poor and benefited millions of families.

Congress leaders were scared of contesting the Lok Sabha elections due to Modi wave. Some of them were forced to contest after pressure from the party high command.
