Two die of burns in Kangra

KANGRA: In different cases, two persons today succumbed to burn injuries at Dr Rajendra Prasad Government Medical College (DRPGMC), Tanda, today.

In different cases, two persons today succumbed to burn injuries at Dr Rajendra Prasad Government Medical College (DRPGMC), Tanda, today.

The police said Sandeep Kumar (42), a resident of Ambtar village falling under Nagrota Bagwan police station, had received 55 per cent burn injuries when his clothes caught fire while working on a stove at his residence on July 27. He was brought to the DRPGMC Tanda the same day and succumbed to his burn injuries today.

In another case Anjana (23), a resident of Dolah village under Khundian police post, received 65 per cent burn injuries when her clothes caught fire from the flames of a stove on July 26. She was under treatment at the DRPGMC Tanda where she died today.

The bodies have been handed to the family members after a postmortem. The police have started investigation under Section 174 Cr PC.
