35 DPS students qualify Maths Olympiad

SRINAGAR: Thirtyfive students from the local Delhi Public School (DPS) have qualified the national level of the International Mathematical Olympiad, a unique opportunity that helps the students to shape their future prospective.

Thirtyfive students from the local Delhi Public School (DPS) have qualified the national level of the International Mathematical Olympiad, a unique opportunity that helps the students to shape their future prospective. 

The spokesman of the school said in all, 45 students from the school had taken part in the exam that was held in October at the University of Kashmir, which had multiple rounds. He said 35 students from the school had qualified the exam.

“The students have earned their spot among the 900 students selected at the national level, who qualified the regional rounds held all over the country,” the official said.

The exam was held on the national level by the Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education, on the behalf of the National Board for Higher Mathematics of the Department of Atomic Energy. “The exam had multiple rounds and it is a proud moment for us that a majority of our students qualified, which opens up various opportunities for them at the national and international level,” an official from the school said. He said students of Classes V to VIII took part in the competition.
