Burglars decamp with gold, cash worth Rs3.35 lakh

Kathua: Thieves decamped with gold ornaments worth over Rs 3 lakh and Rs 35,000 in cash from a house in the Sawan Chack area on Tuesday night. According to the owner of the house, Jaganpreet Singh, all family members were sleeping when the thieves struck the house. “In the morning, my mother found that one of the windows was open and clothes and other belongings were lying on the floor. Thieves opened the almirah and stole over 100 gram of gold and Rs 35,000 in cash. We have filed a complaint with the police,” Jaganpreet Singh said.
