Jammu, October 20

Governor NN Vohra, who is the chairman of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board, inaugurated the Nivedita-II Nurses’ Hostel at Kakryal.

This building has been constructed by the shrine board at a cost of Rs 9 crore to cater to the residential requirements of the nurses of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Superspeciality Hospital, Kakryal.

The Governor had a round of the various floors of the building and inspected the facilities provided for hostel inmates. He directed the shrine board CEO to ensure effective day-to-day maintenance of this newly created facility and arrange adequate provision for harnessing rain water and solar energy.

The work on the construction of six-storey Nivedita-II, taken up in October 2016, has been completed within 11 months by the Civil Engineering Wing of the shrine board.
