Jammu, February 5
Parikshat Singh Manhas, Director, School of Hospitality and Tourism Management, and also a professor at the Business School, University of Jammu, has been appointed as the Regional Director for Asia and Eastern Europe by the World Centre of Excellence for Destinations (CED), a United Nations World Tourism Organisation affiliate.
The CED’s mission is to guide destinations worldwide towards excellence by supporting them in their efforts to foster sustainable development and increase their abilities to generate economic, social and cultural benefits.
Prof Manhas was also a member of the Tourism Advisory Board of J&K. He was a fellow of the Australia India Institute, New Delhi.
