JAMMU: The NCC Girls Junior Wing of Army Public School (APS), Jammu Cantonment, today participated in ‘Swachhta Abhiyaan — Swachhta hi Sewa Hai’ with the NCC Girls Senior Wing of Government College for Women (GCW), Parade.

The NCC Girls Junior Wing of Army Public School (APS), Jammu Cantonment, today participated in ‘Swachhta Abhiyaan — Swachhta hi Sewa Hai’ with the NCC Girls Senior Wing of Government College for Women (GCW), Parade.

School principal Ratna Mallick addressed the cadets on the importance of cleanliness and waste management. Students were told about the use of green, blue and red dustbins.

Later, the cadets were accompanied by the Commanding Officer of 2 J&K Girls Battalion, Col RK Sharma, ANO Rachna Sharma of APS and ANO Suman Lata Sharma from GCW.

A cleanliness-cum-awareness rally was also taken out in the adjoining areas of Vikram Chowk, which saw the cadets and ANOs interacting with the residents and shopkeepers to foster the spirit of ‘Swacch Bharat Abhiyaan’.
